Trends in Access to Health Care: Disparities by Poverty Status and Health Insurance, 1996-2006

Describes trends in access to health care over a ten year period for those in poverty or without health insurance. Reports that the percentage of the population with a usual source of medical care slipped from 82% in 1996 to 80% in 2006 and that the decline was concentrated among those without health insurance.
