Examines the financial crisis confronting the automobile manufacturers, the government decision to provide financing assistance, the tougher terms imposed on the auto companies compared to the financial companies receiving federal help, the conflicts of interest when the government becomes a primary shareholder in a private company, and the exit strategy.
