The Friends of the Library is composed of many volunteers who wish to support Swem Library. At the core of these people is the Swem Library Board of Directors , a group of approximately 18 donors who work to secure funding and publicity for Swem, not only by their work in Swem but by sponsoring events around the country. The Board meets twice a year, generally in conjunction with College-wide events. Just as the library is the heart of a great university, so the Friends are the heart of this great library.
A donor can become a Friend of Swem Library through a $100 donation, or a $50 donation if already a current member of the Christopher Wren Association. Donations can be made through the gift page.
Additionally, Swem Library is always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to advocate for the library. If you are interested in more information about joining our Board, please contact the Development Office at (757) 221-3060.
