Do you have a blind spot when it comes to research?

At this time of year, do you find yourself in a tight spot? Are you rooted to the spot in fear at the thought of finding just the right journal article? Does your professor touch a sore spot when she asks you for your annotated bibliography? We at Swem Library are always trying to find ways to help the students, faculty, and staff of the college get research assistance in ways that are convenient and efficient for them. With that in mind we offer “Swem on the Spot,” a new service that takes us beyond the reference desk to you. A librarian-and-laptop will offer real, live research support and answer questions about the library. Based on a recent survey, you told us that you’d like help at the Daily Grind during lunch hours; so our pilot program continues there. You can find “Swem on the Spot” at the Daily Grind from 11:30am - 1:30pm on Mondays and Thursdays. I guess you can think of us as Johnny on the Spot.
