While we love to receive donations of collections, donations of money are equally helpful. Swem Library does not receive any state money for the purchase of manuscripts or other special collections materials. We would greatly appreciate donations for:
| Acquisitions of collections, especially unrestricted funds or funds to be used for materials from the Civil War to the present | |
| Staffing, including apprenticeships and internships for students | |
| Collections care, including preservation supplies and conservation | |
| Digitizing collections, including staff and equipment | |
| Research support (stipends, travel costs) for students and other scholars using our collections | |
| Annual prizes for the best undergraduate and graduate projects using the SCRC’s resources |
