The SCRC occupies the Burger Special Collections Wing at the east end of Swem Library.  The entrance is on the first floor.

Parking

Daily parking passes are available for $3.00 at the Parking Office at the campus parking garage on Ukrop Way, about one block from Jamestown Road.  These permits allow you to park in many faculty, staff, or student spaces. For more information, see:

The nearest places to park to Swem are:

  1. Behind Swem Library--there is a faculty-staff lot immediately behind Swem, faculty-staff street parking, and another faculty-staff parking lot across Landrum Drive (entrance is on Ukrop Way--if you're coming on Ukrop Way from Jamestown Road, turn left at the stop sign at the intersection of Ukrop Way and Landrum Drive and take an immediate right).  Walk uphill to the front (non-street) side of Swem to enter.
  2. IIn front of Phi Beta Kappa Hall and the Muscarelle Museum of Art--there are faculty-staff and student spaces in these lots, accessible from Jamestown Road.  Swem is directly behind Phi Beta Kappa Hall.
  3. In the parking garage.  To get to Swem on foot from there, turn left onto the street in front of the parking garage (Ukrop Way).  Walk down to the stop sign at the intersection of Ukrop Way and Landrum Drive.  Start angling to the right uphill to get to the front of Swem.
