On February 22, 2007, William and Mary students teamed up to create a short film in 24 hours. All the entries this year were spectacular, demonstrating that the art of filmmaking is alive and well on the William and Mary campus.
This year's contest was a part of our Long Weekend of Short Filmmaking.
At the start of the contest each team was assigned a genre, prop (1926 "Colonial Echo" Yearbook), and a line of dialogue, an homage to last year's Jury Winner, "Alien of Fortune, " that had to be incorporated in their production. The picture to the right is of the film crew for "Citizen's Arrest," which took home the jury prize and audience award.
Swem Library's new Media Center provided the equipment, software , technical support, and creature comforts for this year's contest. This year's films were screened on February 23, 24 hours later. Please visit our credits page for more.
