Public Photocopiers

Photocopying services in Swem Library are run by the Copy Center, a division of William & Mary's Auxiliary Services. The Copy Center is located on Swem Library's 2nd floor.

Cost at public copiers is 10 cents per page.  Paper size and color is 8 1/2 x 11; white paper only

Also, two public copiers (one on the first floor, one in the Copy Center) allow scanning for free; the scanned pdf files must be sent to a W&M email address.

 

Debit-Card Copiers

William & Mary ID Cards, Swem Library cards, and "visitor copy cards" all use a magnetic strip and may be used as debit cards for photocopiers in the library.

Non-William & Mary patrons may purchase "visitor copy cards" from any Value Transfer Station in the library. The card costs $1.00; additional monies may be placed on the case for copying needs.

Coin Copiers

The coin copier on Swem's 1st floor accepst nickels, dimes, and quarters.  There is dollar-bill changer nearby.

Assistance

Assistance with public photocopiers is available from the Copy Center during normal business hours (normally 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday). The Circulation Department can assist with basic problems with the copiers during the library's other operating hours.

Copy Center

Materials to be copied may also be left at the Copy Center. For more information on services (including color copies, transparencies, faxing, etc.), hours, and costs, please contact the Copy Center at (757) 221-3116 or visit the Copy Center online.

Microform Reader/Printers

Most of Swem Library's microfilm reader/printers are located in the microforms area on the Ground Floor of the library.  One reader/printer is located near the 1st floor government documents collection. Printing cost is 10 cents per page. Please ask for assistance with the reader/printers in the Reference or Serials areas.
