We’d like to wish the William & Mary community and our library friends happy holidays from Swem Library!
On Thursday, Dec. 19 and Friday, Dec. 20 the library will be closing at 5 p.m.
The library will be closed for winter break Saturday, Dec. 21-Wednesday, Jan. 1, and will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 2 for winter interim hours: Mondays-Fridays, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturdays-Sundays, closed.

Planning to give to Swem before the end of the year? Here are a few details to ensure your donation is recorded for the 2013 calendar year:

A check dated on or before Dec. 31, 2013 with a post-marked envelope also dated on or before Dec. 31, 2013 is a calendar year 2013 gift (regardless of when W&M receives it, even if it is in the new year).

A credit card gift sent in an envelope that is post-marked on or before Dec 31, 2013, but is not received and charged by Dec. 31, 2013 is not a calendar year 2013 gift. (If it is charged in January or later, it is a calendar year 2014 gift).

An online gift made with a credit card is accepted up to midnight on Dec. 31, 2013 and counts for calendar year 2013.

A stock gift must arrive into one the College’s accounts by Dec. 31, 2013 to be counted for a calendar year 2013.

University Development will have staff in the office during the holiday break (not Dec. 24 or 25), and checks can be delivered to them and will be counted as calendar year 2013.
